Slip of the Tongue
Slip of the Tongue is a theatre company based in Hamilton, New Zealand. From Shakespeare to children's shows, we have produced quality theatre within Hamilton, the Waikato region and other surrounding areas since the mid 80's. For over a decade Slip of the Tongue have performed a string of Outdoor Summer Shakespeares. This began in the summer of 1989 with a season of The Tempest on the banks of the Waikato river. Due to the overwhelming success of this production Slip of the Tongue then presented A Midsummer Night's Dream using the same venue. Since these initial productions the group has performed nearly every summer, delighting audiences from Hamilton, Tauranga, Whakatane and Waikato satellite towns with the magic of 'Outdoor Shakespeare'.
